The SALTO Virtual Network (SVN) flexibly manages door and user access control as needed. It allows independent locks to read, receive, and record information, through a data system, on the encrypted and secure card that utilizes RFID read/write technology.

When presenting a smart card to an "offline" autonomous door, it controls not only the access rights to that door, but also records data, such as information on lost card lists or the battery status. The smart card transmits this information back to the server through "online" wall readers, capable of updating and receiving information from the cards at any time and anywhere in the building.
